I'm new to this supporting ,

Posted in Group:

Not sure how to be supportive since i've allways feared the online facebook/ twitter . But I do know i'm in alot of pain and need to talk it out, since i'm stuck at home. I have'nt been able to work since a year ago and drive too. Tomorow i will have the blood test for this celiac stuff . My husband read about it and told me thats what it is so we'll see. I think it is too since i've had the simptoms for 25 plus years. All the doctors would do for me was bandage the simptoms , and lie. So today we finally told the new doctor to do this test and we are :} yay Thank you for hearing me .

My 5 yr old has Celiac disease. She has had it all of her life. It was very traumatizing for my self. Before we knew what was wrong with her she did what is called self induced anorexia at the age of 1yr. At that time it was still not very heard of. Its better now but is still
changing at times. She has tested at the highest sensitivity level possible. When she was two her pediatrician gave her some allergy meds to take nightly not knowing it had a my-newt amount of gluten in it.Not being on the label who would know? After 3 months of taking this med. She was bruising very easily and all of her beautiful hair fell out! All of it!! Than her pediatrician could not tell me why this was happening. They even asked in a round about way if I was pretty much abusing her! It was her pediatric G.I. doctor that told me why this was happening to her and told me I needed to watch her diet even closer than I was. Needless to say it has been a long road. Now we are getting ready to start school. I am hopping that I will not have to go to school with her every day..
