I need someone who understands to help me pleaseeeeeee

My name is Corri, I am a twenty two year old woman who was diagnosed with a 'wheat sensitivity ' however my doctor is refusing to test me for Celiac Disease. I think I have CD as my symptoms are far to sever to be a 'sensitivity' and I have been very uncomfortable for about two or three weeks now. I have had a break out of Psoriasis as well as sever stomach swelling (I cant even wear my jeans) most days I want to cry because of this feeling. I walk around holding my stomach and asking my BFF to rub it or my back cause it hurts. I am also starting to get constant joint pain again. (All symptoms I had before cutting out wheat) Now I still eat 100% Rye bread and products therefore I am not 100% G-Free but this is because I was told I did not have too be.

Today during boxing day sales I was lucky to find a combo pack of Gluten-free Cooking for Dummies and Living Gluten - Free for Dummies. As it has been a struggle to get information about my condition I was VERY excited about it!! After dinner I was reading some things aloud that I thought were really neat - and told my mom I am not supposed to have Malt (I HAD NO IDEA and Have malt vinegar on my fries on occasion.) I continued reading the book while pointing things out to my friend beside me. My aunt then told me i was over reacting and told me to stop reading the book because I was acting Neurotic.
My cousins girlfriend (Who is fat due to an eating disorder AKA Not eating) then told me I was being a hypochondriac as usual and needed to give it a rest. No one defended me. my own MOTHER then told me to put the book away because my SENSITIVITY isn't really that bad so I should stop making a big deal out of it.
I've been on the verge of throwing up all day because my stomach is that upset. I've been really sore and my stomach is so swollen that its very uncomfortable. I now feel as though they are ganging up at me as there are six of them and they all basically tell me I am being ridiculous. I don't know what to do anymore and I feel as though my whole life has been taken away from me.
I feel so alone and I don't know what to do. Help me.

The boxing day and malt vinegar is tipping me off you do not live in the states, but is it possible to switch doctors? Although if you do think you have a true gluten sensitivity, cut it out of your diet, google gluten free diets and try it out for a few weeks. You don't have to go out and buy all gluten free products, you could just stick to a protein, fruit and veggie diet. It is your body and if you are feeling that sick I would definately change up your diet according to what you think would make you feel better.

So glad you found the site!

I would read up on all Gluten containing foods and avoid them. Thats what I did. I too was diagnosed with Wheat allergy but the more i read about Gluten I figured out this was my issue. I feel so much better. It takes some time but get some good books and research online. Use lots of Rice, and rice flours. Actually there are some pretty good recipes out now. Good Luck. Listen to your Body..not your Doc!

If I find out I am allergic to corn Im going to cry. I already have the gluten thing plus I am lactose intolerant and cannot have any form of melon ... I am more just feeling kind of lost... my family members act like I make it up? Because I was twenty one when I was diagnosed and since I have gone G free some of the symptoms haven't stopped. Including the psoriasis I was told was related to the food allergies.
